About iCAT Martial Arts

What is iCAT?

"iCAT is Reality Martial Arts or RMA!"

"iCAT is a realistic and comprehensive approach to martial arts!"

"RMA is everything you see in MMA that works, and everything you don't see in MMA that works!"

"iCAT is the Hybrid martial art of the future!"

"iCAT is what you want to know, when the fight is real, and the trophy is your life!"

How did it start?

iCAT is owned and operated by the Legendary Joe Lewis, and reality martial arts experts Walt Lysak Jr., and Richard Ryan.

Rich Ryan and Walt Lysak Jr. spent almost parallel lives of total emersion in dozens of fighting systems and countless hours of deep scientific research to develop two of the worlds most effective, efficient and respected methods for realistic self-defense Ryan Ryans Dynamic Combat and Lysaks Sento.

After they met and then trained together they did what nobody else had ever done they merged these two systems to produce an even more cutting edge, comprehensive and effective approach to reality i.C.AT. C.O.R.E.

Bothered with how many people clung to outdated tactics and discouraged their students from cross training they decided to teach people how to properly blend skills effectively in a cross training (integrated training) environment.

Still desiring to continue the useful ritual of integrated training and open mindedness that got them where they were in the martial arts and by no means feeling that they had all the answers Lysak and Ryan broke common tradition once again and brought in large group of their contemporaries which consisted of some of the best martial artists on the planet to serve as both advisors and specialists to team i.C.A.T., this group is now well known as the iCAT Masters Alliance.

Many industry greats felt this was one of the best and most innovative ideas to hit the martial arts world in many, many, years.

A few years into the development of iCAT, Joe Lewis, one of the worlds most legendary martial artists, joined the iCAT Team, and was directly involved with helping to develop a reality martial arts program like no other.
